When we start a new project, it is easy to feel overwhelmed by the magnitude of the task before us. We have a vision of the end-point, of where we want to be. The question is, how do we get there? The sensible thing to do is to break the task down into small, manageable stages, to set ourselves small tasks which will carry us along the way.
If we give ourselves a number of smaller targets, we can discover reassurance and satisfaction as each is achieved. It helps us to dwell in the present. Jesus said, 'Take no thought for the morrow,' and ' Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof,' It is also true that, 'Sufficient unto the day is the good thereof.' May we have the sensitivity to recognise it.
