Father God, thank you for creating all people in your image, but making us all different. We differ in age, appearance, gender and talents. We are thankful for the things that we can do, but are also grateful to those people who can do things we cannot do. Thank you for people who think creatively, ask searching questions and come up with answers which enable new developments.

Prevent us from feeling fear of people who are different from ourselves. If we find ourselves disagreeing with other people, help us to consider what motivates them and how they fit into your plans for the future. Above all, help us to follow the example of Jesus in welcoming all people as our brothers and sister.
