God of the unexpected, sometimes life presents us with pleasant surprises and sometimes with horrible shocks. It is good to know that you are with us in the good times, but even better that you are beside us in the dark times, bringing comfort and hope.

We hold before you all who face difficult times; those whose lives are disrupted by natural disasters; those who are victims of war or human cruelty; those who face economic problems and struggle to feed their families; those whose family relationships are under pressure; those whose health us under threat with physical, mental of spiritual illness. Be close to all who suffer and enable them to feel the power of your protective love, even in the depths of their trouble.
