Heavenly Father, thank you for the many opportunities you give us to serve you in our daily lives. Sometimes we become aware of the way you have guided us only in retrospect when events which seemed difficult at the time can be seen to have wider significance Sometimes we find ourselves in a dilemma because we do not know which route to follow.

Help us always to seek your guidance and to consider how best we can further your kingdom as we interact with our fellows day by day. Help us to do what Jesus would do as we live out his message.
