There is a saying, 'Procrastination is the thief of time,' more simply interpreted by my father as. 'Don't put off until tomorrow what you could do today.' Sadly Father's wise words were obviously lost on me as delay in completing unpleasant tasks is one of my weaknesses.. The result is predictable. The tasks are often simpler than I feared and I have wasted time in worrying.
This is particularly the case in medical matters. How often do we delay in reporting symptoms out of fear of what might be involved? Often the worst that we fear does not apply and if it does swift treatment is the best way to solve the problem.
May we always have the courage to face up to possibilities and be rewarded by sweet relief.
