Father of all, we acknowledge the great variety of your creation.  We marvel at the skills and talents of so many of our fellows.  We rejoice in those who dedicate themselves to long hours of training to excel in the world of sport. We are enthralled by the dramatic performances of actors conveying with subtlety the range of human emotions.  We thank you for those you have inspired to push back the boundaries of  knowledge to improve the quality of life for others.

We thank you also for those who work tirelessly with the sick, the elderly, the homeless and those who have made mistakes and find themselves in trouble.  May we always remember that Jesus reached out to many who were considered untouchable.

Help us to show your inclusive love to all we meet.
